I was at the Lux.Amer Memorial Cemetery in 1973, I was in the 6th grade while my father was stationed in Germany. I remember it like it was yesterday it left a lasting impression on me to this day. I encourage every American if possible to purposely take a journey to Germany to visit this particular cemetery. It will be an unforgettable, humbleing, heavy hearted and in some ways prideful experience. Words can not express the feeling you get inside when you see the crosses as far as you can see and know that it symbolizes a life lost for the freedoms of today.
